It is well built and strong all together except for the notch to close it is very loose, there is a very obvious gap between the marble that is no where close to flush and it isn't sharp enough to cut butter. With this it is still a strong knife and very much worth the price. I am still satisfied with my purchase and will continue to shop with S2G
Yes one piece may have a larger gap than another, the next piece may have a tighter/looser sliding safety, the next the blade may not be perfectly straight in line etc....... we typically get about 3-4 of 5 traits on any single piece. Even on the more expensive swinguards, we still never get all 5 traits on any single piece.
