Not Bad

The knife I received has a couple of things that need work. I have the Tanto Xtreme model. While the blade is definitely cool looking, it is pretty dull. Also, there's some grit to the switch while deploying and retracting the blade. Taking a look inside, I saw that there were imperfections on the stainless steel chassis, which I can feel running my finger across them. Once the blade is sharpened, and perhaps giving the chassis a decent polishing, I'm certain this knife will be twice as nice!
Being new to OTFs, I learned the hard way that they do not like being lubed much and prefer to run pretty dry.

Thank you for your review! I wouldn't quite say dull, but yes I agree the Xtremes could have been a little sharper compared to the bowie blades seem to have a better edge... different grind angle I believe. For the trigger, sometimes there may be a little bump/imperfection that can cause a gritty scratchy feeling. Inspect the underside of the trigger and maybe touch it up with a small file to smooth it... let me know if this was the case. Also your are correct about the lube, too much can actually slow down the blade and cause a misfire. A little goes a long way... if there is anything else I can do for you, let me know!
