Amazing quality for an affordable price

Skeptical. That's the best word to describe how I felt when I stumbled upon slash2gash a couple weeks back. I've been into balis for quite a while, I own 5 of the real versions of the clones sold here. Therein lies my problem....I love to flip, I'm not very good, and the real deal knives are all worth 2-3 times what I paid for them.

So I ordered the Falcon as my test run. If the knife was even usable, I'd consider trying out the clones.

I gotta tell you, I'm blown away. I ordered the live blade knife in purple and an extra trainer blade-only. Zero tap out of the package, the grind on the blade is super tight and very nicely done. I flipped for about 30 min and still no tap. I slapped on the trainer blade and as expected the bushings needed some adjustment. About 30 minutes and a little KPL Heavy, that I also ordered from Slash2Gash, and the trainer blade fits as well as any of the real deal blades on knives 10x the price. Zero tap and smooth at butter.

Quality is quality. This knife is the best non name brand bali I've ever handled. Slash2Gash is about to see a lot more of my name on their order list!

Amazing balisong for an amazing price

This is my third purchase from s2g and it seems that with each knife I purchase they keep upping the quality of the products being sold. This knife has no tap and is amazing for flipping. The live blade is lethal, but I think it helps with the learning experience. As always I cannot recommend this knife enough.

YET ANOTHER FLAWLESS BALISONG VICTORY

Just got it to today. Tolerances are perfect. I have so many balis I've acquired from s2g. I promise you will get a perfect knife or if there's a defect it's China's fault which is near perfect. Trust me Jeff yells at them too to correct them. No other site will do what s2g.You know usually when I use to buy from China damm there would always be cnc milling marks or scratches on the front.lol not a2g he's very talented so no play no tap, no rub, even swinging handles, and well centered. That's why I keep buying from here. Now I have a live blade. Oh yea I figured out why the balisong disent stay on your finger. Has nothing to do with aluminum. The live one it's a little handle bias as in it tilts towards the way of handle.but the trainer one is neutral balance. Also, when I used to collect, I never used the flip so I never knew what the term blade heavy when people say, handle bias or neutral balance. I'm gonna do a review when I have the time but it won't be like most videos. I wish I could be a full time promoter bc I'm good at it. Came fast too.

Ordered another one but live blade

Here’s a summarized and rewritten version for your review:

Jeff emailed me saying he needed an extra day to swap the handles since he only had one silver handle and needed to tune it up. I decided to buy a blue live blade instead of just a trainer because I don’t have as much time as I used to. Although I mainly collected knives before, I’m now getting into flipping and practicing good habits with the trainer, which builds confidence.

Even after dropping the knife, the screws stayed in place thanks to the Vibra-Tite GEL Jeff provided. It’s less messy and easier to use since the zenith pin screws can back out. I used red Loctite on the zenith pin screws and blue on the pivot screws. If you have a stiff handle, apply pressure and work the washers around. To prevent the pivot from spinning, squeeze the handles while inserting the screw.

I’ve been flipping more and prefer knives around 4.0 to 4.2 oz, with 4oz to 5 oz. being my favorite for titanium handles. I noticed that titanium knives 3.9 oz and up tend to stick to your fingers more, while aluminum knives, even at 4.0 oz, feel too light and don’t stay on my fingers. My favorite is the Lizard, which I’ll be flipping after using the trainer. I prefer knives with fewer screws like the Rep, as they don’t back out even without Loctite.

I avoid expensive knives like the $425 Rick Hinderer balisong because any tap or blade rub would make me return it. However, with S2F, you don’t have to worry about tap, play, or tight tolerances if you use Loctite. Even after dropping it, the tolerances remain intact. That’s why I buy from S2G.When I see reviews mentioning orders from China, I always recommend S2g.com in the comments because Jeff deserves it. E+++. I won’t be buying aluminum handles anymore as they slip out of my hands.
